Vernon Goal Diggers go undefeated again

Vernon - The Vernon Goal Diggers Girls U-13 Flight 1 soccer team has just completed another undefeated season. The Goal Diggers, coached by Angelo Costello, have played championship soccer for the past five years. Team members have demonstrated exceptional skills, drive, and teamwork to stay on top year after year. The Goal Diggers’ overall record for the past 10 seasons is 89 wins, four ties and seven losses. The Goal Diggers’ offense, led by Kellianne Baumann, Mallory Costello, Kelsey Vella, Katie Genetelli, Lauren Parak and Stephanie Peterson, scored 43 goals in their 10 games this season. The outstanding defensive lineup had six shutouts and allowed only six goals for the season. The defense was led by Brittany Ast, Tara Fisher, Tracey Geary, Samantha Ritter, Lauren Hayes, Alea Glinbizzi and goalie, Jessica Mills.
