Stanhope rec offers dance classes for the young and young at heart
Stanhope - The Stanhope Recreation Department will sponsor general line dancing and social ballroom dancing classes for adults and young adults at the Valley Road School, 24 Valley Rd., beginning Jan. 3 and continuing on Wednesday evenings for six weeks. The line dancing classes will start at 6:15 p.m. and run for one hour for $25 per person. From 7:30 till 9 p.m. social ballroom dancing classes will include foxtrot, swing, Latin dances, tango, and others as time permits. The social ballroom lessons cost $40 per person or $75 per couple. The goals of the lessons are to teach the student enough to be comfortable on the dance floor, get exercise in a fun way, make new friends, and have a great evening. The classes will be taught by Ronnie Landolfi who has eight years of teaching experience in this field and teaches currently at Sussex and Morris Vocational/Technical Schools, County College of Morris, Mt. Olive Adult School, as well as other locations. Enrollment in the classes is limited and will be on a first come, first serve basis so please register early.
