Straus Newspapers to be honored at DWI Enforcement Awards Ceremony
Andover -The Sussex/Warren County Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving will hold their 13th Annual DWI Enforcement Awards Ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center. The event will honor police officers from Sussex and Warren Counties who have made significant contributions to the enforcement of DWI laws. Awards will be handed to the MADD’s poster/essay contest winners for fourth through twelfth grade students who participated in this year’s theme: “Be a Hero, Not a Zero.” Teresa Stevens, the Executive Director for New Jersey’s MADD program will be the keynote speaker. Straus Newspapers will receive the Harold Meltz Award for outstanding achievement in the support of reducing drunk driving in the county. Awards will be presented to the Sussex County Police Officers who have been most active in DWI arrests for each town in the county.
