NEWTON — On April 23 the World Auto Group celebrated the grand opening of Subaru World, their new dealership on Hampton House Rd. in Newton. The new Subaru dealership will offer added convenience and additional service capacity to Subaru owners living in Sussex County, N.J., Pike County, Pa., and southern Orange County, N.Y. “This is a tremendous opportunity for Subaru and the World Auto Group organization,” said Chris Preziosi, president of World Auto Group. “While other automotive manufacturer sales are stalled across the U.S., Subaru is gaining market share and increasing sales.” Albert Preziosi, co-owner of World Auto Group, said “we did a lot of market research to evaluate the potential before adding this new dealership on the Newton/Hampton Township line. As the opportunity emerged for World Auto Group to open a Subaru dealership here on Route 206, we were convinced we had a winning combination in a convenient location.” The group has donated to the Hampton Township Fire Department and Newton’s Center for Prevention and Counseling. In attendance for the opening was Hampton Township mayor, Phil Yetter. “World Auto Group has been a great neighbor for many years,” said Yetter. “We look forward to partnering with Chris and Albert Preziosi and Chris Dexter on community projects ahead, they are an asset to the community.” “With this area’s love for outdoors and unpredictable weather, Subaru is a natural fit and gives us a great opportunity to better service the many loyal Subaru owners in our backyard,” said Chris Dexter, executive manager.
