Foundation working to accommodate more women Lafayette - Sunrise House Foundation, development and implementation of specialized treatment services for those suffering from addictions and related conditions, recently announced the expansion of it’s women’s services program. In August, Sunrise House will add 14 additional residential treatment beds to accommodate the expanding needs for women at the facility. This change comes at a time when the availability of treatment beds for female patients throughout the state is at a critical level. “In order to better serve the needs of the community, it is necessary for us to meet the increased demand for women’s services,” said Dr. Philip Horowitz, chief executive officer said. ”We have maintained a waiting list for adult female beds for over six months and are now going to devote effort to the expansion of women’s services. That will become the focus of development and future growth for Sunrise House.” Sunrise House will continue to offer adolescent outpatient treatment, including assessment, the Student Assistance Program Services and Intensive Outpatient Services in Lafayette, as well as Choices for Change, its outpatient facility in Florham Park.
