Sussex County Chamber of Commerce announces availability of five scholarships for 2007-2008

Newton — The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce has announced the availability of five scholarships for the 2007-2008 school year. The scholarships will include a top award of $3,000, one $1,500 award, one $1,000 award and one $500 award. A $1,000 award to be distributed to the Sussex County Community College Foundation will also be awarded by the SCCC Scholarship Committee to two eligible students. These awards will be used to further each recipient’s education at a college, professional, technical, vocational or business school that will result in enhancing the recipient’s marketability in the business community. Applications have been mailed to area schools with criteria specifications to be passed along to interested students. Applicants must follow the application instructions and return to the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce office no later than close of business on March 15..
