Swearing in officers of Sussex County's League of Municipalities

County clerk Erma Gormley administers the oath of office to Sussex County League of Municipalities’ officers during a recent swearing-in ceremony at the Lafayette House. The league comprises government officials of the county’s 24 municipalities, including appointed officials and area professionals. Members meet regularly to discuss issues facing each municipality, with topics ranging from transportation to court security, the resolutions for which are shared with the NJ State League of Municipalities, which acts as a watchdog to the state for existing and new legislation.
