They care

Rana Luqman (left) and Jimmy LaBell, eighth graders at the Valley Road School in Stanhope, help wrap up two more military “care packages” to send to Iraq. Since the war began, about 60 packages have been shipped to military personnel and their units, thanks to donations from the entire school community. Valley Road has received e-mails, letters of thanks and photos from many recipients. The soldiers often share the items with Iraqi children in need. The ongoing effort is coordinated by faculty members Lisa Wrobleski and Patricia Lusto. (Photo provided)
