They walked for the cure

Area residents Amanda Ingram, Debbie Johnson, Cathy Giugliano, Erin Jackson, and Alison Barnes completed the 39-mile Avon Walk for the Cure Oct. 1-2. Together they raised over $9,000 to battle breast cancer. The New York City walk raised approximately $7 million. Locally, more than $2,000 was also raised during last month’s Crop for the Cure scrapbook event in Sparta.
