Sussex County - Problems with your in-laws? Finding it difficult to relate to your children? Dealing with marital infidelity? The Learning Channel is searching for a New Jersey family to be featured on the second season of Shalom in the Home. Whatever the issue, the producers of the show say they are “eager to find families experiencing disharmony in their households, who might require some expert guidance.” Shalom in the Home is a prime-time series aimed at helping families overcome their thorniest problems. Its host, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, is an Oxford trained theologian and philosopher who’s written over a dozen books on families, and counseled hundreds of people through difficulties with marriage and parenting. Boteach, who once gained fame as an advisor to Michael Jackson, was recently invited to share his knowledge on the Oprah Winfrey Show. As Shalom in the Home enters its second season, the producers hope to bring the production to New Jersey and feature a family in Sussex County. The series features Boteach’s insight into relationships, marriage and parenting. In each episode he takes one family on an intensive 10-day journey. Using a battery of exercises and techniques, he helps family members come to terms with their problems, and find the skills and resolve they need to improve things at home.
