    July 21 At 3:10 a.m., Vernon Police effected a motor vehicle stop on a 2000 VW Jetta in an active work safety zone on County Route 515. The Driver of the Jetta, Aaron L. Kemble, 31, of Vernon, failed to obey a police officer's signal to stop his vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the driver was intoxicated. Kemble was placed under arrest and transported to Vernon Township Police Headquarters. He was charged with drunk driving, careless driving and having an obstructed windshield. Kemble's VW was impounded for a period of 12 hours in accordance with state law. He was released to a family member pending an appearance in Vernon Township Municipal Court.
