Volunteers needed

Newton Runners, walkers, businesses who want an expo table, and people willing to raise pledge money, are all needed by Main Street Events for the Main Street 5K Festival and Business Expo to be held in Sparta. The Charles L. Tice Heart Center for Diagnostic Services is the recipient of all proceeds this year. Preceding the festival is a pasta dinner on Friday, April 27, at the Sparta United Methodist Church. Runners and walkers get a free dinner and pick up their packets at that time. The dinner is $5 for non-participants. The walks and runs are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28. For more information go to www.MainStreetEvents.org or call Faye at 973-726- 6218.
