Watercolor painting event at the Breathing Room

NEWTON — The Breathing Room Center and the Pahaquarry Foundation will present a watercolor workshop on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 2-5 p.m. at the Breathing Room Center, 735 Rt. 94, in Newton. Participants can paint the historic barns or lush gardens surrounding the property, which backs up to the nature conservancy. Local artists will be on hand to guide participants through the process. Children are welcome and will paint a banner for Bristol Glen. The cost is $10/adult, $5/children 12-17, and free for kids under 12. Price includes all materials and matting of work. Experienced artists are welcome to bring their own materials and/or mat their own work. An artist's reception will follow at a later date and participants will be able to see their matted artwork brightening the halls of Bristol Glen.
