    Promoting Positive Behavior - This course is designed to teach care givers/parents strategies that will assist in strengthening a child's positive behavior, and or eliminating/decreasing negative behaviors. By understanding the function of behavior, caregivers will be able to prevent negative behaviors from occurring. The various behavioral modification techniques utilized will allow caregivers/parents to feel more equipped to handle any situation, which will in turn improve the overall quality of life for all those involved. The fee is $40 per person. This course scheduled to run from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Saturday, July 10, at Newton Memorial Hospital. Stop Smoking - Kicking the Habit Quit smoking once and for all with the Quitcenter - a tobacco dependence treatment program from Newton Memorial Hospital. Participants will receive a personalized assessment and treatment plan that includes nicotine replacement products such as the patch, gum or lozenge. The cost is $60 and for a limited time includes eight weeks of free nicotine products. Weekly group meetings are $15 and will begin shortly after the course.
