Newton — Friends of Hospice, supporters of the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, hosted its 22nd annual wine and cheese festival on Sept. 17. With the help of local residents, the event was a huge success. Randy Burke, owner of Burke’s Wine and Liquors, chose over 100 wines to taste and Karl Latham, leader of the internationally acclaimed Karl Latham Trio, performed wonderful Jazz during the tasting. A live and silent auction was also held with all proceeds benefiting the Hospice.
