Work only session about Main Street

Newton - At 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7, there will be a special meeting of the Newton Town Council regarding the Main Street Project Funding. The county has already committed to supporting this project. This meeting will be to encourage the town to commit to the project and to provide funding. In the long run a project like this provides a benefit to Newton and the greater Newton area. The meeting is a work session only. Although the public can attend they will not have an opportunity to speak at this meeting. The Main Street Project Funding presentation will be made at the regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. on Aug. 14.
