YMCA offers special summer membership to college students

Hardyston — The Sussex County YMCA is currently offering a special summer membership to local college students who are home from school for the summer. For just $110, full-time college students with a valid student ID can enjoy all of the amenities available at the YMCA through August 31. David Carcieri, executive director of YMCA, said, “Our Summer College Special allows students to stay active during the summer months and return to school in September looking fit and trim.” This summer membership will give college students access to the YMCA’s Wellness Center, which boasts the latest in equipment. The YMCA’s six-lane indoor pool provides a refreshing way to increase strength and flexibility with minimal stress on the joints. The YMCA also offers over fifty fitness classes and programs, many of which are included in membership, such as Pilates, cardio, step, circuit training and more. A number of these programs are also offered as one-on-one instruction such as the Wellness Coaching Program, which is specifically designed for the novice exerciser. Participants will learn how to set goals and exercise appropriately and safely in a structured, supervised environment, complete with assistance from the YMCA’s specially trained Wellness Coaches.
