YMCA offers vacation care for children

Hardyston — The Sussex County YMCA, located at 15 Wits End Road in Hardyston, will be offering their popular Vacation Care Program on Feb. 16, 19 and 20, to coincide with school closings for President’s Day Weekend. Parents with children in kindergarten through sixth grade who wish to keep their children active and safe over the holiday can count on the YMCA’s trained and experienced staff to watch after their loved ones. David Carcieri, executive director of the Sussex County YMCA, said, “Parents who decide to take advantage of our vacation care program can rest assured that their children will be in good hands. All of our staff have received extensive training and undergone the scrutiny of a thorough background checks to ensure each child’s safety. In addition all of our child care programs are licensed by the State of New Jersey.” The YMCA will be offering fun, seasonal activities to participants including, sports, games, arts and crafts, swimming and outdoor activities, weather permitting. Parents may choose the full day program from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for just $40 or one of the half-day programs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1 to 4:30 p.m. for $15. Before and after care will be available from 7 to 9 a.m. and from 5 to 6 p.m. for an additional $5 per hour. This program is open to the public. Parents must register for this program in advance.
