Z Dance Troupe completes competition season

McAfee — “Z” Dance Troupe completed their competition season at “On Stage” Americas National Talent Competition. Two of the “Z” Troupe Dancers were among the top winners. Brittany Piela placed 4th runner up and Courtney Chlominski was honored by being named the Winner of the Mock Audition. During the competition the performers had an opportunity to enter a Star Performer Mock Audition. This audition is held as if it were a Broadway-Style dancer’s audition. It prepares the young dancers for the professional dance world. Another opportunity the contestants had was to submit an essay on what dance means to them. The winner was Matt Tiberi from the “Z” Dance Troupe. He received a $500 George Hazel Memorial Scholarship. Courtney Chlominski and Matt Tiberi’s talents once again dazzled the audience and judges with their lyrical duet “Last Night of the World” and were chosen for the Judges Choice Award. They also received a diamond award and 1st overall in the senior duet/trio category. Teen soloist Lindsey Dunn also demonstrated her many talents and received a diamond award and the Teen soloist High Score award for her Song and Dance routine of “Thoroughly Modern Millie.”
