It was with great pride that the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council hosted the Smithsonian Institution’s exhibit New Harmonies: Celebrating American Roots Music. We would like to thank all those who took the time to visit the exhibit. We thank our sponsors, Bruce and Beverly Gordan, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, the Smithsonian Institution, Cornerstone Playhouse, Trinity Restaurant, Salt Gastro Pub, J.C. Grill House, Ronetco, the New Jersey Herald, the Springboard Shoppes and Thorlabs. We thank the committee, the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council Board of Trustees, the staff, and especially Steve Chapin for all their hard work. We thank the many docents who welcomed the many attendees and allowed us to stay open extra hours and days. We thank Mugs Media, Channel 10, Sussex County Chamber Magazine, the Sussex Journal, the Milford Journal, the OurHouse and Excursions magazines, Aim, and the Straus newspapers. We thank our member artists who exhibited in the two gallery exhibits, “Photos with a Beat” and the "All-Woman Show," which is still on exhibit in the gallery. We also want to thank the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office and their Sheriff’s Work Assistance Program (SWAP) participants who did a fantastic job assembling, and later disassembling, the numerous components that the show is dismantled into for shipment.
