Center offers thanks to the volunteers

To the Editor: The Center for Prevention and Counseling has spent over 30 years in its efforts toward building and maintaining a healthy community. I am proud to work with my colleagues at the Center. They are smart, industrious, compassionate and concerned professionals whose level of caring goes far beyond a reasonable expectation. At the hub of this group is a sturdy core of volunteers, who tirelessly work at assisting all of us with tasks that are fundamental to our events, seminars and programs. We are so fortunate to have as our volunteer, Vic Bastek, who for 2006 has logged almost 200 hours. Also, Fred Kilpatrick, Peggy Bopp, Christine Barria and Ci Ji Gonzalez are not far behind Vic in their time! Our volunteers never disappoint and often stay to give extra time as needed. They tackle each task with a tireless work ethic and often have us in stitches with their good humor. I, and the rest of the employees at the Center for Prevention and Counseling extend a heartfelt thank you and a vigorous cheer to Vic, Fred, Peggy, Christine and Ci Ji. Your efforts are treasured! Sincerely, Jane Butz Resource Center Coordinator The Center for Prevention and Counseling
