Environmental observations

To the editor: I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry when I read Chris Reiner’s letter about environmental groups such as the Sierra Club. While I’m not a big fan of some of Sierra’s policies, I have to speak up. Disparaging those who work hard to save trees and plants is like disparaging those who work to give us potable water and breathable air. Without trees and plants and all the other myriad life forms that go into the making of an ecosystem there will be no people. No trees, no air, no food, no water..nada, nothing, zilch. But on the plus side there will also be no taxes. Arlene Goldstein Highland Lakes
