Girl Scouts thank DASI donors

To the Editor: On Sunday, May 7, and Saturday, May 13, our Girl Scout Troop 809 collected feminine hygiene products, personal care items, vitamins, pain relievers, cereal, etc., for DASI (Domestic Abuse Services Inc.) outside the Sparta Stop & Shop. We were astonished by the great support we received. In just a few short hours, we had collected an enormous amount of items. Thank you to all those Stop & Shop patrons for your kindness. It was a great experience for us to see how much people care. We learned that even five high-school girls can make a difference in someone else’s life. DASI helps victims of domestic abuse with housing, support and legal assistance, as well as community education programs and many other services. Your generosity will go a long way in helping those in need. We were able to deliver 15 boxes of items to DASI. Thank you also to the other Girl Scout troops that donated to our cause.
