Holiday greetings from Quinlan Hospice
To the Editor: During this time of caring and giving, I’d like to extend a word of gratitude to our many friends who have supported Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice throughout our 25 years of service to the community. As we all reflect on the blessings in our lives during the holiday season, we at hospice certainly count the many wonderful people whose support has sustained us. For hospice professionals, the season also offers many opportunities to reach out to our area residents to let them know we’re here for them. During November, “National Hospice Month,” we joined hospice workers and organizations throughout the country in honoring patients and families, and in communicating the unique philosophy of care that is offered through hospice. And now in December, a time that is joyous for so many of us, our counselors will work with many people who are struggling with the loss of a loved one. As we gather with our extended hospice family at our memorial tree lightings, reading each name and honoring each memory, we’ll be celebrating each precious life together. To the residents of our community, please know that our nurses, counselors, social workers, chaplains, aides, and volunteers are here for you and your family. Our philosophy of care is life-affirming and based on dignity, comfort and respect, and our pledge is to always offer the very best of care. To our friends, benefactors, and volunteers, thank you so very much for all that you do. Your generosity and spirit help many people throughout the year. And to all, please accept our wishes for a happy and blessed holiday. Julia Quinlan, president and co-founder Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, Newton
