To the Editor: The recent town council election in Sparta brought out only 21 percent of registered voters to the polls. Due in part to poor voter turnout, a runoff election will be held on June 13 to elect three members to the council. Sparta, you’ve been given a second chance to make your voices heard and help set the future direction of your town. Stop complaining about what’s wrong and get out to the polls on June 13 and make a difference. Remember, if you don’t vote, don’t complain. Charlie Marcino Sparta
