Newton Fire Department thanks community

On behalf of the chiefs, officers and members of the Newton Fire Department I would like to take this time to thank all those who supported the Newton Fire Department’s Tower 804 Wet Down. Although Hurricane Irene delayed our event by a week, we did not let it dampen our camaraderie with the other fire departments in Sussex County. We truly appreciate your attendance and support of our event. We thank the Town Manager, Tom Russo, Jr., Mayor Helen LeFrois and the other town council members for their generosity and continued support of the Newton Fire Department. We would also like to thank the Newton Office of Emergency Management and the Newton Department of Public Works for their assistance with this event. The event could not have taken place without the assistance of our sponsors, including Smith McCracken Funeral Home, Newton Medical Center, Fire & Safety Services, Mayor Helen LeFrois, Councilwoman Kristie Becker, Hayek’s Market, Public Risk Underwriters of NJ, Keiffer Electric, Harold E. Pellow & Associates, Inc, D&H Alternative Risk Solutions, The Vozza Agency and Hollander, Strelzik, Pasculli, Hinkes, Gacquin, Vanderberg, Hontz LL Vogel, Chait, Collins & Schneider Attorneys at Law, Shop Rite, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chun Bo Chinese Restaurant, G&S Deli, Nice and Neat Laundry, Chelbus Cleaning Company, Inc., Fire Fighter One LLC, Michael Alvarez, Sussex County Assistant Fire Marshal and Newton VFW Post 5360 who made this event a success. The Newton Fire Department also thanks everyone who participated in the Annual Halloween Parade. We especially thank the Newton Moose Lodge for supplying the candy and our judges. Also, we can't forget Don Meng for supplying refreshments, the Newton Department of Public Works and the Newton Police Department for their continued support. Congratulations to all of the winners, and we hope to see you all again next year. Chief Mike Teets Newton Fire Department
