To the Editor: The downpours on Oct. 1 couldn’t stop the devoted participants and volunteers who braved the raindrops to see that the first annual Paces for Prevention for the Center for Prevention and Counseling was a surefire success. Without support from the community, this event would never have kicked off in such a big way. I want to thank the following for their participation: The New Jersey Herald, Clear Channel Tri-State, Mugs Media, Intercar Inc./Sussex Honda, Sussex County Dealers Association, van den Heuvel and Fountain, EMBARQ, Master Upholstery, North Jersey Portable Toilets, Rae Smolen’s Oldies But Goodies Ice Cream, Preferred Business Systems, Ralph’s BBQ, South Shore Outdoor, Ron and Pat Bailey, Blue Iris Café, Lorraine Bollmann, Century 21 Gross and Jansen, The Chatterbox, Cecilia Clayton, Condit’s Toyota, The Duke Agency, Face Painting by Courtney, Fitzgerald Enterprises LLC, Frogmore Country Store, Hinkley Auto, Jill R. Green Massage, The Morville Agency, Newton Memorial Hospital, Tapestry Café, The Tea Hive and Valley National Bank. Save the date, we’re already looking forward to next year - September 30, 2007!
