To the Editor: On behalf of Pass It Along and the Christmas Around the County committee, we would like to thank everyone who helped to make our 4th annual toy shop a success. We truly appreciate all the hard work that our volunteers did to help set up the toy shop, keep it running smoothly and then take down it at the end. Without all of you it would not have been such a success. Through the generous donations and support of many individuals and families (too numerous to name), Girl Scout troops, Boy Scout troops, churches, businesses and schools, over 1,200 children each received four new toys plus home baked cookies and wrapping paper. We also want to thank the following businesses for being drop-off locations for toys: Clear Channel Communications, Franklin; Newton Wal-Mart; McGuire Chevrolet, Newton; First Hope Bank, Sparta and Andover branches; Child’s Play Spot, Lafayette; Sparta Fit for Life; Drayer Physical Therapy, Sparta; Star Dry Cleaners, Sparta; Dunkin Donuts, Sparta; Greene’s Beans, Sparta; Photographs, Cameras and Video, Sparta; Black Bear Fitness in Jefferson; Sparta Book Shop; Condit Ford, Newton; Exotic Nails, Rockaway Townsquare Mall; Sparta Athletic Club; Expresso Yourself, Sparta; Sunshine Beauty Products, Sparta; Ailish’s Alpine Paint, Sparta; Integrated Health, Sparta; Curves, Sparta location; Sparta Stop and Shop; Salon DiPanache, Newton; Sussex County Total Health; DLS, Lafayette Village; Upper Lake Deli, Sparta; Lakeland Bank, Vernon branch; Lockwood Farms, Byram; Mineral Resort and Spa, Vernon; Mountain Creek, Vernon; Alexandra Labrum Inc, Sparta; Byram Dairy Queen; K and N Sport, Byram; and the Sussex County YMCA, Hamburg. We would also like to give a special thanks to our good friends at Sutherland Packaging for once again supplying all the boxes for our toy donations and also Guy Zimmerman for once again donating the plastic bags for the toys. Without the help of so many, we would not have been able to provide assistance to the many families who were in need during this holiday season. Pass It Along would like to wish everyone a joyous New Year. Sincerely, Diane Loyer and Susan Loyas Co-chairs, Christmas Around the County
