Re: A vote for Gregg'
To the Editor: I would like to reply to the recent editorial titled “A Vote for Gregg.” I have always valued others opinions and encourage vigorous and intellectual debate during the elections of our representatives. Although this was one person’s opinion, it came across more like one person’s personal agenda. Elected officials are challenged by thousands of issues and need to balance their decisions with the interests of all their constituents. We need elected officials that make the hard and sometimes-unpopular choices. Even more disappointing is the author’s explanation of Assemblyperson Alison McHose’s lineage as a dynasty. Hard-working republican representatives that have given Sussex County centuries of representation, funding and opportunities deserve our gratitude. Bob, you have mine; thank you. Even when an honest and compassionate public servant like Steve Oroho suggests a remedy to your issue, you meet it with contempt. Maybe we should call your editorial what it really is: a Guy Gregg endorsement. Your attack on good people like Alison McHose, the Littell family, Steve Oroho, Gary Chiusano, Hal Wirths, Glenn Vetrano and Susan Zellerman leave me with only one thought: Maybe you should vote the Democratic Party!
