Skeletons in Chipper's closet?

To the Editor: I enjoyed Joseph Walker’s column in the May 18 Township Journal regarding what really matters. However, where the author refers to Chipper Jones’ attributes, I’m not sure if Chipper was quite the family man he described (“dependable, faithful, loyal, solid”). I hope the author researched Chipper’s past thoroughly. Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought he received some bad press at the same time that President Clinton and Steve Phillips, the GM for the Mets, fell out of grace with their spouses. But that was a long time ago and maybe my memory isn’t what it used to be. Ray Christie Sussex County
