Story overlooked local appraiser's work

To the Editor: Just an added note of interest to the article published about the recent appraisals at Sussex County College. For the last three years we have been participants as appraisers. Actually, we did more appraisals this year than any of the other appraisers mentioned in your paper, but we never received a line of recognition that we were even there. We have 35 years experience, are members of the New England Appraisers Association, and have been accepted for expert testimony in superior court. We do not have a store front, so to speak, so we are not writing this letter to bring business to our store, but as local residents an acknowledgement would have been appreciated. We did the appraisal on the needlework worth $6,000 that was mentioned in your article. Perhaps next year will be better. Sharon Simon Hampton
