Taking issue with Baez letter
To the Editor: Daven Baez has seen fit to bring our personal association, or lack thereof, and dues history with Lake Lackawanna Investment Corporation (LLIC) into the issue of ATV use. I don’t know how this issue relates, but I guess he finds this information appealing to his cause. To state we have never joined and owe years of lake maintenance is not totally accurate. We did join and stopped when our children no longer had an interest, Mr. Baez, before making public statements you should research your material and know what you are talking about. Where did you dig this information up? Out of your position on the LLIC Board or perhaps another one of your informative hearsay inquiries with neighbors? Quite professional and admirable of you to share private membership information while being in a trustworthy position of the LLIC Board. However, Mr. Baez, if this is an attempt to embarrass us due to a non-related ATV issue, you are highly mistaken. We have discussed our opinion concerning membership in LLIC with many of our neighbors who “are” and “are not” of the same opinion. Our views have been common knowledge shared with many Byram residents for more years than you have lived here. Since Mr. Baez is such an enthusiast and recreational activist, we invite him to “please call us should he like to clarify our recreational lifestyle or have any questions answered so that he can paint a complete and accurate picture concerning our recreational interests.” I am sure glad we voted this year, or Mr. Baez might have obtained our voting history and made that public knowledge also.
