Thank you to the community

To the editor (to all those who cared): We, the family of Catherine Guirreri, would like to thank the following groups and individuals for their love, support and caring during our mother’s last illness. Thank you to the New Jersey State Police who had to come to my mother’s aid on several occasions; the Lafayette Rescue Squad who gently transported her; Newton Memorial Hospital Emergency Room and CICU; Compassionate Care Hospice of Dover; and Smith-McCracken Funeral Home. Dr. Debitetto, Dr. Rosalis, Dr. Scarpa, Dr. Barie and Dr. Jacobs, as well. Thank you to the Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers’ Sorority (of which she had been a member for 46 years) and Sussex County Educators and their continuing support, throughout her life, illness, and death. Thank you to her many friends who supported and loved her for 96 years (33 of which were in her profession). And thank you to all of you who said thank you to her for the help that she had offered to you along the way. We, her family, loved her and will miss her more than words can express.
