Urges support for Olson

To the editor: As a long-time resident of Byram Township, I look to the upcoming municipal election with eager anticipation of the opportunity “For a Better Byram.” I have spoken with many of my neighbors, and they all share the same view: Byram needs elected officials with creativity and innovation to guide our town through the challenges before us, and Scott Olson is the most qualified candidate for that job. Scott has my support and that of dozens of my neighbors. They all know he is always concerned with doing the right thing for our community. Scott has been an outspoken activist for preservation of valuable natural resources throughout Byram and the entire region. He is concerned with stabilizing taxes through sensible economic development - something I believe is lacking from our current elected officials - and maintaining the quality of life for residents in Byram and the whole of Sussex County. As a co-founder of North Byram Concerned Citizens, he has been instrumental in increasing resident involvement in town-wide issues. As a dedicated volunteer member of multiple committees and task forces in Byram Township, he has already made a positive change for our town. I strongly urge all Byram residents to help continue that positive momentum, and when they visit the polls on May 8th, to vote for the best candidates.
