Vote for candidates who honor vets
To the Editor: Recently our Congressman, Rodney Frelinghuysen, endorsed two incumbent candidates for the 24th Legislative District. One endorsement, for Guy Gregg for Senate, was received gratefully and graciously. The other, for Assemblywoman Alison McHose, was dismissed by her and her five-person team, who referred to the Congressman as liberal. Since when is it “liberal” to be a veteran, and to serve your country above all else? Congressman Frelinghuysen served his country both in war and in peace. Guy Gregg is also a veteran and a member of Musconetcong American Legion Post 278. Freeholder Director Susan Zellman, a candidate for the Assembly, honored veterans by raising over $60,000 for the Sussex County Veterans Memorial. Located in the square in Newton, the stately bell tower is a tribute to all veterans, past and future. Thanks to Congressman Frelinghuysen and all veterans we live in a democracy where we can vote for the candidates of our choice. I encourage you to vote for two people who honor veterans: Guy Gregg for Senate and Susan Zellman for Assembly. Carl Beale, Stanhope
