Why kids should join Scouts
To the editor: I am writing to let people know the reason why kids should join Scouts. It helps kids to learn skills for their future, like how to tie knots or how to survive in the wilderness or just to help them to get along with others and become better citizens. It makes Scouts feel like they are doing something important and something to be proud of. When you are a scout, people look up to you. Some other fun things we do are camping, hiking, biking, and touring other states. If you are interested in Scouting, stop by a meeting on Monday nights, 7 - 8:30 p.m., at the Franklin Senior Center to see what we are about or call our Scoutmaster, Mr G. (Karl Grogaard) at 973-827-6013. Troop 90 is always looking for great Scouts. Sean Inglis Franklin Troop 90
