Oktober Feast: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Sussex County Fairgrounds, 27 Plains Road, Augusta. 15 gourmet food trucks, adult beverage garden, live bands, vendor shopping village and children’s activities. Admission is $5; children younger than 10 are admitted for free.
Sunday, Oct. 5
Pig Roast and Community Harvest Day: 1 to 4:30 p.m. at Fairview Lake YMCA Camps, 1035 Fairview Lake Road, Newton. Old-fashioned BBQ and activities for all ages, including archery, axe throwing, climbing, target games, hikes and candle-making. Cost is $21 for those age 15 and older and $11 for those ages 5-14. Children age 4 and younger are admitted for free.
Thursday, Oct. 9:
Third annual Fall Frolic in the Park: 5 to 7 p.m. under the pavilion on the Green at Sussex County Community College. Games, crafts, pumpkin painting, dancing, food and vendors. Free admission. Fourth annual Harvest Festival: Noon to 4 p.m. at Bubbling Springs Park, 1468 Macopin Road, West Milford. Free event hosted by Passaic County Sheriff’s Office. Hayrides, pumpkin painting, bounce houses, corn maze, games, live music, cider and doughnuts. Specialized sheriff’s units will be on display. Food trucks will have items available for purchase.
Family Fall Festival: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plant Church, 1693 Union Valley Road, Hewitt. Fall crafts, snacks, bounce house, face painting and information about resources.

Harvest Festival: Every weekend in September at Lentini Farms, 251 High St. (Route 94), Newton. 4 to 8 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. 10-acre corn maze, hayrides, sunflower field, U-Pick pumpkins, bonfires and live music. Beer and spirits tent and different food trucks every Saturday and Sunday. Classic car shows on Fridays. Cost is $5 for adults and $4 for children. Those age 3 and younger are admitted for free. Great Pumpkin Festival: Through Nov. 2 at Heaven Hill Farm, Vernon. More than 35 family-friendly outdoor activities, including hayride to the pumpkin patch, “Alice in Wonderland”-themed corn maze, farm animals, pig races, Canine Dog Show, ride pedal cars and touring cars, giant slingshot, giant straw pyramid, Boo Barn and Baseball Speed Throw. Tickets are $22 on weekends and holidays and $13 and up weekdays. Season pass is $60. Jack O’Lantern Experience: Sept. 26-Nov. 2 at Skylands Stadium, 94 Championship Place, Augusta. More than 6,000 hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns in 45-minute walk-through display. Also, live music, pumpkin picking and painting, corn maze and beer garden. Seasonal food and drinks for sale. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Standard tickets cost $20 and VIP tickets cost $39. Fall Fest: Weekends Sept. 27-Nov. 2 at Mountain Creek, 200 Route 94, Vernon. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. through Oct. 12; noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 18-Nov. 1; and noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 2. Sky rides, Alpine Mountain Coaster rides, live music, bounce houses; hay maze, pumpkin patch, giant lawn games and seasonal snacks. Tickets are $14.99 for the sky ride or $24.99 for the sky ride and the Alpine Mountain Coaster. Guided nature hikes at noon, 2 and 4 p.m. with purchase of the sky ride.
