Janel Dwyer, 53, of Budd Lake, N.J., passed away on May 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Raised in Andover, N.J., Janel graduated from Newton High School and dedicated more than 30 years of her life to her work as a Nurse, a profession she truly loved. She was known for her compassion, patience, and unwavering dedication to caring for others.

Janel will be remembered for her zest for life, larger-than-life personality, and her ability to light up every room she entered — not only with her beautiful smile, but also with her signature bling and love of all things pink or purple.

She is survived by her mother, Ann Dwyer of Andover, N.J.; her father, David Dwyer and wife Clemencia of Homosassa, Fla.; her siblings Mike Dwyer of Andover, N.J.; Tara Jones and husband, David, of Green Township, N.J.; Laura Dwyer of Glen Ridge, N.J.; Marc Dwyer of Andover, N.J.; and Patrick Dwyer of Montclair, N.J. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews — Jada, Madison, Zachary, Jacob, and Sofia — and favorite dog, Nugget.

Her family is forever grateful to the staff at Holly Manor. Not only were they her second family through her years of employment, but they also provided her with comfort, care, and compassion during her final hours.

Private services will be held by the family. In honor of Janel, the next time you wear pink, think of her and the joy she brought to so many lives.
